Oh finally!


Fandom: Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Length: 3:17
Notes: I always wanted to redo this video. I only ever got my ass moving on it because I wanted to vid, and vid something easy. Turns out it wasn't and has kicked my ass more then I anticipated. I started this back in December and thanks to Astarte's intermittent nagging, I'm calling it done. Thanks for the image, babe!
Summary: Remaster of my Disarm vid from way-back-when. "The killer in me, is the killer in you, my Love", Willow & Giles magic, tragic love stories, dark sides; do I really need to say more to make you think cross-generational soul mates?

At least this time around you don’t feel the need to apologize for your cross-generation OTP in the summary.

I really love the remaster - you have outdone yourself here. Beautiful vid and it still has this epic feel, which made the original one of the most intrigue BtVS vids back then.

we'll I've grown since then. OTP peh! There is no One True Pairing, just fucked up mash-ups and ones that should never be.

I am *so* glad you remastered this vid! It was always one of my favorites--not just of yours, but of Buffy vids in general. It might be the best Giles-character vid and Willow-character vid I've seen, despite (or because of) being a parallel portrait.

ETA: I see a comment above described it as "epic" and "intriguing," and both adjectives fit perfectly!

E(Again)TA: Did you change some things from the previous version, or just use sharper, DVD clips? I don't remember some things, like the Willow-Warren and Giles-Ethan juxtaposition. I may have just forgotten, since it's been so long since I watched it!

Thanks. This disarm was on of my favorites too and i just hated having to look at it in low quality. Astarte is bias, she was the one riding my ass for the two months the vid was in production.

As for the vid itself, it turns out that the charm of low quality means long cuts of scene aren't as bothersome. But the initial draft was a direct paralelle of the first vid and they i'm mixed it around. and LOL, of all the scenes i changed the Willow/warren/Giles/Ethan juxtaposition stayed the same from original.

Hi, I got here via the vid rec community on dreamwidth of all places and I am VERY glad I did. This is an amazing vid, you capture the arc and the parallels beautifully.
