I've posted 14 vids this year. Those Days was started a few years ago. I was practically done but... Well Astarte was Astarte. A Walk through Hell was also mostly done years ago too but I since I didn't have the emotional strength to look at it again I never put the finishes on until Feb. It was however the first vid I made using MKVs.

Notes: My submission for me and Astarte's X-Files Season 5 Vid challenge. We decided since it was the shorter season we'd through the movie in with it. I think it turned out well. Again, I've been done before November waiting for Astarte. At least this time I have more warning.
Summary: My life with you means everything, I won't give up the easily Mulder's on the road of recovery with all the crap that keeps trying to get in the way, the only thing he knows he needs for sure is the x-files.

30 Days of Vidding Meme - Day 30

Day 30 – Do you have a favorite vid you've made? What makes it your favorite? And don't forget to give us a link!

Like my lovely Astarte, I too am giving you 3 vids just because I can't choose. So in no particular order: BtVS - Disarm - Willow/Giles, QAF – Time of our Lives, Torchwood – The Truth is you should Lie with Me - Jack/Ianto. Common theme was that in the crazy way my head works, these were prefect songs for what I wanted to vid. Disarm was a video I made way back when and redid it changing more than I expected but I just love looking at it. Time of our Lives, I love making ensemble video from on of there pov and it all just clicked together. And with Truth how often is there actually a song that really works with a M/M relationship.

PS Since I skipped on of my major fandoms I'm going to also add: X-Files - Running Up That Hill - Scully/Skinner, because even though I didn't like Skinner having a major crush on Scully, it was there damn it and this vid represents him being stalkerish! It makes me feel proud.

Alright I'm done Astarte, what's my prize? ps remind me to send you our HFWC transcripts.

30 Days of Vidding Meme - Day 28

Day 28 – Have you ever collaborated with anyone else, whether vidding together, or having an artist or writer work on a piece about your vid?

Astarte, Astarte, Astarte. It started as a Wedding present for Charmax... then we turned into "Mindfuck Entertainment" and "Astandra Lay Productions". We posted our second video before our first could be seen, and then started our third... that took how LONG ASTARTE??!! (not my fault you're so slow) She only speeds up when she's worried I'd finish the vid myself. So now I know how to muscle her and "How Far We've Come" only took a few days to churn out. She's my bitch.

Are videos together are very different from the ones we do on our own. I think that if we weren’t doing our meta themed multi-fandom and just trying to make a normal vid, with a normal song, only telling one story, our vids never would have worked. Can you say Fandom clash!

Way back when I helped Ryan out with his vids. I did one section in his Our House buffy vid and another section in his Slay Him vid epic. As payback for Our House I think he did a section of my Angel video Walking on the Sun. But our collaborations we never to the extent as the ones with Astarte, the video was rarely considered both of ours.
